Even the elevators were nice looking and devoid of ads (wonder how long that will last). One noticable difference is the whole new wing looked like a vegas hotel.modern, with no traces of the native american theme in the older rooms, hallways, artwork, and common areas. The fridge is in a cabinet with no ventilation so its best to leave the cabinet doors open and pull it away from the back wall to help it work. The view from our first room stank, we were in a c shaped block of rooms that overlooked a rooftop and the rooms across the way.nothing else. The whole place still has that new smell which takes a little getting used to. The check-in went ok, and we were happy with the room. the last 10 years of visits there dont matter and we dont rate a Sat night? Anyway, I will start with hotel: There is still massive construction going on and it will continue until 2013.all the old entrances are blocked and you can only go to the new check-in area or the free parking lot. So while we rate a free flight and 4 night stays in Tunica,, our action is only considered for what we played at Cherokee, in the past 6 months.
Sort of a pain, dont know why we couldnt stay Sat.They need to get their promotions together, Cherokee is seperated from all other TR casino/hotels. to Feb 1.we got comp room in new tower on Friday, forced to check out and stay elsewhere Sat.
